Biology Teacher - (Candidate who is based in Hong Kong)

August 2025 start

Position Overview:

The school is seeking a passionate and experienced Biology Teacher to join their secondary teaching team. The successful candidate will teach IGCSE and A Level Biology, contributing to the high academic standards and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Teach Biology to students aged 14–18, focusing on the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level syllabuses.

- Develop and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons in line with the school's bilingual ethos.

- Assess and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and participate in school events and activities.

Candidate Requirements:

*A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, BEd or equivalent).

*A degree in Biology or a related field.

*Minimum 2 years of experience teaching IGCSE and A Level Biology.

*Experience in bilingual or international schools preferred.

*Candidates currently based in Hong Kong strongly preferred.

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:

Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification

Experience:

2 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)

Must be a native speaker of English

Prefer candidates with international experience

Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted

Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted

Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:

A salary   HKD (Hong Kong Dollar) per month based on experience and qualification, 6-10% Tax is applied

Housing:

Housing allowance of Included in the salary   HKD (Hong Kong Dollar) provided

Medical:

State/Public medical provided

Flights:

HKD (Hong Kong Dollar) Allowance is provided

Bereavement Leave:

Bereavement leave given

Emergency Evacuation:

Emergency evacuation given

Contract Length:

1 year contract renewable on mutual agreement
