About the Role:
We are seeking a hands-on and strategic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the technological vision and execution of our sportsbook platform. The ideal candidate will be an experienced software engineer and systems architect with deep expertise in backend development and a solid understanding of fullstack environments. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, scalability, and performance across our tech ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the technical roadmap in alignment with product and business strategy.
• Lead the development and architecture of a high-performance sportsbook platform.
• Drive implementation of scalable microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Ensure secure and reliable deployment using domain-driven design (DDD) principles.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Leadership to deliver robust solutions.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams, ensuring best coding practices and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to gain a competitive advantage.
• Oversee DevOps and CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless development cycles.

Core Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in backend software engineering with strong proficiency in C# .
• Proven experience in sportsbook development or similar real-time betting/gaming platforms.
• Strong knowledge of SignalR (websockets) for real-time communication.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture and domain-driven design (DDD) .
• Experience working in a remote environment with distributed teams.
• Solid grasp of software security principles and performance optimisation.
• Familiarity with fullstack environments is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in DevOps tooling and cloud architecture (AWS, Azure).
• Background in high-availability systems and transaction-heavy platforms.
• Exposure to frontend frameworks such as Angular or React.
