Job Title: Electrical Estimator.

Compensation: $105,000-$135,000.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to become an integral part of our dynamic team. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our project bidding process by providing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for various electrical projects.

 
Responsibilities:

• Project Review: Thoroughly review project specifications, drawings, and related documentation to gain a deep understanding of the scope and requirements. 
• Material and Labor Analysis: Conduct detailed analyses of materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs to ensure precise and competitive estimates. 
• Vendor and Supplier Collaboration: Engage with vendors and suppliers to obtain up-to-date pricing and negotiate favorable terms to enhance project cost-effectiveness. 
• Blueprint Interpretation: Proficiently interpret electrical blueprints and specifications, extracting relevant information essential for accurate estimation. 
• Estimating Software Utilization: Leverage industry-standard estimating software (Sage) and tools to streamline the estimation process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. 
• Cost Breakdowns: Provide clear and comprehensive breakdowns of estimated costs, highlighting key components and potential areas for value engineering. 
• Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and competitors to contribute to the development of competitive and profitable bids. 
• Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to address queries, provide clarification, and ensure alignment with project goals. 
• Risk Assessment: I dentify and evaluate potential risks that may impact project costs, proposing mitigation strategies to enhance overall project success. 
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed and organized records of estimates, ensuring that documentation is readily available for internal and external reviews. Generate reports summarizing key estimation metrics.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Master Electrician. 
• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction or electrical contracting industry. 
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards. 
• Proficiency in industry-specific estimating software and the Microsoft Office suite. 
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Working Environment:

The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s junctions may require the following physical attributes: lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; climbing and balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. Generally, the job requires 55% sitting, 20% walking, and 25% standing. The job is performed at various job sites with outdoor temperature variations, with commercial and industrial hazards.

We enhance the efficiency of lighting and electrical systems for our customers through expert assistance in (1) specifying which products will produce the greatest energy and maintenance savings while providing the best solution to meet customer goals, (2) supplying and installing the new lighting and electrical products and (3) maintaining the lighting and electrical system. CLI-SERVICES was founded in 1977 and has steadily grown over the past 40 years. We have, on staff, certified lighting consultants, journeyman electricians, master electricians, and certified lighting technicians. Our employees drive fully-stocked service vehicles. In addition to our service vehicles, we have fully stocked bucket trucks with the capability of reaching up to 100 ft. working height. We also have 24-hour on-call service as well as GPS locating capabilities and Nextel 3-way radio communications.
