Duties:

Medical Office Assistant: This person assists in the provision of comprehensive health care as a member of a team of health care professionals. This individual functions in all areas of the office setting, this includes both clinical and front desk duties.

or

Licensed Practical Nurse: Promotes and restores patients’ health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.

Location and Hours of Position

NO WEEKENDS 

(up to 40hrs a week   with flexible times between 7:45am and 5:00pm and 1 late night every other week) 

General office hours:

• Monday 7:45 am - 5:00 pm
• Tuesday 7:45 am -7:00 pm
• Wednesday 7:45 am - 5:00 pm
• Thursday 7:45 am - 5:00 pm
• Friday 7:45 am - 5:00 pm

Compensation

Starting at $17 per hour (Medical Assistant) PHN recognizes experience, education and site location when determining wage.

Qualifications 

Graduate of an approved school of nursing 

OR 

Graduate of an approved school Medical Office Assistant and/or two years’ experience in a clinical setting

•Infection Control and strong clinical knowledge

•Administering Medication

•Previous venipuncture and injection experience preferred 

•Previous experience in calling prescriptions under a provider’s direction

•Computer proficient
