Postdoctoral Research Associate position. This role focuses on veterinary toxicology, primarily in food animals, with opportunities to work with various other animal species.

- Multifaceted Experience: Work with clients from the ISU Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, ISU Veterinary Field Services unit, and ISU Food Animal and Camelid Hospital. Develop appropriate treatments and mitigation strategies for poisonings to support veterinarians and producers across the United States.
- Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality diagnostic coordination for toxicology and nutrition-based cases, conduct applied research, and assist in teaching veterinary students. You'll also communicate with laboratory clients and perform field investigations.
What You'll Achieve: - Board Eligibility: Become a well-trained, board-eligible toxicologist ready to ensure human, animal, and environmental safety. Pursue board certification as a veterinary toxicology Diplomate with the American Board of Veterinary Toxicology (ABVT).

- Research and Publication: Publish research, case studies, or case series to support your board certification process. Concurrent pursuit of a graduate degree (MS or PhD) is encouraged.

Required Minimum Qualifications (on or before the start date): • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
• Valid U.S. Driver's License
• State of Iowa Veterinary License
Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with food animal agriculture and medicine
• One or more years of clinical practice
• Experience with diagnostic coordination of toxicology and nutrition-based cases
