Job Description

**Responsibilities** Northridge Hospital Medical Center is Seeking a Passionate **Patient Safety Program Manager** ! This role is critical in promoting a culture of safety, identifying and mitigating potential risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The **Patient Safety Program Manager** will work collaboratively with all departments and levels of staff to improve patient outcomes and prevent harm. + Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive patient safety program aligned with national standards and best practices. + Lead and facilitate the Patient Safety Committee, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. + Monitor and analyze patient safety data, including incident reports, near misses, and adverse events, to identify trends and areas for improvement. + Oversee the organization's incident reporting system, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of events. + Conduct thorough investigations of serious safety events (e.g., root cause analysis, failure mode and effects analysis) to identify contributing factors and develop effective corrective actions. + Collaborate with the Risk Management department to identify and mitigate potential risks to patient safety. + Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including those from The Joint Commission, CMS, and state licensing agencies. + Develop and deliver patient safety education and training programs for all staff, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. + Participate in performance improvement initiatives to improve patient safety and quality of care. **Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree + Minimum of five (5) years of risk management, patient safety, quality, compliance, and/or other related professional experience. + Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing/supervising employees and/or vendors. + CA RN License required. + Med Surge Acute Care Experience + Fire Safety required.
