Are you ready to take off on your next career with us?Job Summary The role of the Airline Special Services Representative is to assist passengers with special requirements, such as those requiring wheelchair assistance. Additionally, the Representative will assist with unaccompanied minors and VIP passengers. Rate of Pay: $13.00 per hourResponsibilities * Assists and transports passengers requiring wheelchair assistance to/from assigned gate. * Carries, pushes, lifts, or pulls luggage for any passenger requesting assistance. * Safely lifts passengers up/down stairs of aircraft and in/out of wheelchairs. * Escorts VIP passengers and unaccompanied minors to/from flights and/or to meet a receiving adult. * Reads appropriate paperwork to identify name, flight information, date and special service request details to ensure passengers are taken to the correct destination. * Properly tags baggage to ensure they are routed to the correct destination. * Gathers wheelchairs in the concourse and returns them to the staging area for use.Minimum Requirements * HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent. * Passenger Service Agent Learning Plan * TSA - General Security Awareness * FAA - Dangerous Goods Awareness * OJT - Passenger Assistance Equipment as requiredPreferred Skills * Adaptability: The ability to remain fully functional by adapting to changing circumstances (environment, procedures, people). * Conduct: Making a good first impression and sustaining it for a long time. * Ensure Safe & Secure environment: The ability to consider S&S as the number one priority at all times, respecting compliance, rules and regulations in all actions taken into the role. * Focus on Customer: The ability and willingness to find out what the customer wants and needs and to act accordingly, taking the organization's costs and benefits into account. * Listening: The ability to show one absorbs and understands important (non-) verbal information and to ask further questions when necessary. * Problem Analysis: The ability to detect problems, recognize important information, and link various data; to trace potential causes and look for relevant details. * Sociability: The ability to be comfortable in people's company, to meet people easily, to mingle freely. * Stress Management: The ability to perform under pressure and in adversity.Physical Requirements/Working Conditions * Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. * Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. * Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. * Walk short distances. * Reach above and/or below shoulder. * Handle/grasp documents or office equipment. * Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time. * Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds. * Work in an office environment using standard office equipment. * Talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone. * Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.Perks & Benefits * Want your pay in advance?
