Job Title: Volunteer Athletic Director Location: Chesterton Academy of Albuquerque - Albuquerque, NM Position Type: Volunteer / Part-Time Application Deadline: Open until filled Position Summary Chesterton Academy of Albuquerque is seeking a Volunteer Athletic Director to oversee and grow our emerging athletics program. The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic with a heart for youth formation and experience in athletic coordination or coaching. This individual will play a key role in providing opportunities for students to grow in teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and physical fitness-reflecting our Catholic mission and values. We currently participate in a small, competitive charter league that provides regular interscholastic opportunities throughout the school year. The Athletic Director will serve as the main point of contact for the league and help expand our presence in it. Responsibilities

• Organize and oversee the school's extracurricular athletic offerings
• Coordinate team registrations, league communication, and game scheduling
• Serve as liaison with the charter league and represent the school in league meetings
• Recruit and support volunteer coaches, ensuring alignment with the school's mission
• Encourage student participation and foster a culture of sportsmanship and virtue
• Ensure compliance with league rules and safety protocols
• Collaborate with school leadership to develop the long-term vision for athletics
• Manage equipment, uniforms, and budget in coordination with the administration

Qualifications

• Practicing Catholic, joyfully faithful to the Church's teachings
• Experience in coaching, athletics, or program coordination
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Passion for youth development and virtue-centered sports
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
